Ducks, Ducks, and more Ducks



We are in the "Fly Way" This season is over and the duck population is looking good for next season.  We saw a few Canvas Back and Red Heads mixed in with the Black heads late season.

Diver Ducks


Scouting the sound for fly ways today.  Going to put up a new blind here for next season.

  The timing of your trip can determine your best chances for certain species of fish and ducks  in our area.  There is some variance in this every year due to mother nature and changing weather patterns. Below is a general guide outlining our focus by the month. 
  • January- Red Drum, Speckled Trout     Diver Ducks
  • February-Red Drum, Speckled Trout  
  • March- red drum, gray trout, blue fish, 
  • April- Cobia, Whiting, speckled trout, spanish mackerel, blue fish, flounder, red drum,
  • May- Cobia, Whiting,  speckled trout, spanish mackerel, blue fish, flounder, red drum
  • June-King and Spanish Mackerel,  red drum, flounder, gray trout, blue fish
  • July- King and Spanish Mackerel, , red drum, flounder, gray trout, blue fish
  • August- King and Spanish Mackerel,  speckled trout, red drum, flounder, gray trout, blue fish
  • September- King and Spanish Mackerel,  speckled trout, red drum, flounder, gray trout, blue fish
  • October- King and Spanish, Spots, speckled trout, red drum, flounder,  blue fish
  • November- Flounder, speckled trout, flounder, gray trout, blue fish     
  • December- Red Drum, Speckled Trout     Diver Ducks start to show up
